Phew… If you had come to my site past two days, you would have noticed that my site was down. On Tuesday, I tried to upgrade my WordPress to 2.8.. I left it running in the office whilst I went back for lunch. Upon returning, my PC froze.. So I restarted my PC and went to check on my upgrade. But alas.. A blank white page appeared with something like “Fatal Error……….” I couldn’t even entered the admin. I tried to google for a solution but inda jua dapat. Yes there were explanations on how to restore it but I just couldn’t get it to work. In the end, I had to email my support at MaxHosting… They were really friendly and tried their best to help. They gave me instructions on what I should do, but I still could not get my site running.

Menyasal eh me-upgrade ani.. Two whole days my site was down. One thing I was scared of is takut all my posts will be gone… sayang jua tu. Now baru tah menyasal did not do any backup. I emailed MaxHosting a couple of times and they replied to each and every email I sent. Finally this morning, they managed to restore back my site. Although my latest post on ‘Shabu Shabu-ing’ was missing, I was really glad that they managed to restore back my site.

So lesson learned… Not to upgrade anything without first making a backup! I think I’ll leave my wordpress as it is and inda payah tah upgrade to the latest version.

I do have a question though for you all…. how do you backup your website? I was thinking of making a duplicate blog elsewhere… what do you think people?

Sampai tah sudah hajat. (Told you that I could’nt wait till the weekend). The hubby had to go to FZ tonight for something and Muizz jalan berhari raya so the girls and I decided to go out. Main agenda was to get a copy of ‘you know what’ from Best Eastern. Tapi nya, when we got there, the books were not there.. arrgghh. Abis wah, atu kan banyak ari atu! The only one left was ‘Breaking Dawn’ which I have already bought from Readers Haven (glad I bought it there becuase it costs $6 more in Best Eastern) *thanks again to Deeya for the info*.

So I asked the salesgirl when the books will arrive and she said probably next week. We then asked her to call the other branches to check if they have it in stock. The branch at Manggis had only Eclipse atu pun tinggal one copy saja. She asked me if I wanted to reserve it but I said no (jauh kali ah). The Athirah & Rimba branch also were sold out (eh laku jua ah).

So we left Best Eastern a bit disappointed. I guess I will just have to wait. After round-round at the Mall (the girls bali baju), I remembered Bookers International just around the corner. It started to drizzle a bit. So we drove off to Bookers. I let the girls out first because nada parking. Ina terus cakap… “Ma, ada Ma, tu Ina nampak ah”. She could see the book from outside. So I hurriedly cari parking, baik jua ada. We went inside and I saw ‘New Moon’ (last copy), ‘Breaking Dawn’ and ‘Twilight’. I asked the girl if they have ‘Eclipse’. At first she said ‘nada’, then when we went to the cashier to pay for ‘New Moon’, the other lady then told the sales girl to take out a copy of ‘Eclipse’ from underneath which was supposed to be reserved for someone but I guess that person has not come to collect it.

So yeahhh I bought both ‘New Moon’ & ‘Eclipse’. So know I have the whole ‘Twilight Saga’. I can’t wait to start reading but I just had to update this blog to let you guys know *hehe*. I finished Twilight in just a couple of days. These other books will sure keep me busy for the next week or so.

Oh one more thing, the price at Bookers is also a bit cheaper than at Best Eastern but not as cheap as Readers Haven (just for info)… I pass by Readers Haven everyday (twice a day actually.. to/from work and I don’t know why I haven’t singgah dulu)..
